BBQ Cauliflower Wings

BBQ Cauliflower Wings

[ INGREDIENTS ]

Large Head Cauliflower
All-Purpose Flour
Almond Milk, Unsweetened
Water
Panko Breadcrumbs
Granulated Garlic
Granulated Onion
Sea Salt
Barbecue Sauce

 

 

 

[ INSTRUCTIONS ]

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F or 230 C.
  2. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. To a large rimmed plate, add :
    3 Cups Panko Breadcrumbs;
    1/2 Teaspoon Garlic;
    1/2 Teaspoon Onion;
    1/4 Teaspoon of Salt;.
  4. Combine well and set aside.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together :
    1 1/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour;
    1/2 Teaspoon Granulated Garlic;
    1/2 Teaspoon Granulated Onion;
    1/2 Teaspoon Salt;.
  6. Now pour in :
    1/2 Cup Almond Milk, Unsweetened;
    3/4 Cup Water, More if Needed;
    whisk to combine well. 1
  7. Cut :
    1 Large ( 2 Pounds ) Head Cauliflower;
    into medium-sized florets.
  8. Place a handful of the cauliflower florets into the bowl and toss to coat well.
  9. Lightly shake off excess batter of each piece and place in the breadcrumbs.
  10. Gently roll around to coat well and place on baking sheet, leaving room in between each piece.
  11. Place in the oven for 20 minutes to turn golden and crisp.
  12. Flip over pieces at the halfway mark.
  13. Remove from oven and brush each piece with BBQ sauce. 2
  14. Place each piece back on your baking sheet and leave a few inches in between.
  15. Bake for another 8 to 10 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  16. Serve immediately with dipping sauces of your choice.

 

 

 

[ NOTE ]

1 The batter should be thick, but still pourable.
If it's too thick, add a few tablespoons of water.

2 Brush on the sauce because they lose their crispness if you fully immerse them.
You can add more after baking or serve with BBQ sauce as a dip
