Olive Puffs with Feta

Olive Puffs with Feta

[ INGREDIENTS ]

Puff Pastry
Feta Cheese
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
Lemon Zest
Kalamata Olives
Salt
Black Pepper

 

 

 

[ INSTRUCTIONS ]

  1. Thaw :
    2 Puff Pastry Sheets;.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400 F or 200 C.
  3. Cut the puff pastry sheet into 1 1/2 inch x 1 1/2 inch squares.
  4. Place the squares, with a little space between them, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Make a small depression in the middle of each square using your thumb.
  6. Break :
    3 1/2 Ounces Feta Cheese;
    into small pieces.
  7. Brush all the squares with :
    Extra-Virgin Olive Oil;.
  8. Place a piece of cheese into each hollow and top with a little
    Lemon Zest;.
  9. Firmly press :
    1 Pitted Kalamata Olive;
    on to the cheese so that it stays in place during baking when the pastry rises.
  10. Crumble feta cheese over the squares and season with :
    Salt, to Taste;
    Black Pepper, to Taste;.
  11. Bake the puffs in the middle of the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  12. Serve the puffs warm or cold.
