Tteokbokki

[ INGREDIENTS ]

Vegetable Broth
Gochujang Paste
Korean Red Pepper Flakes
Granulated Sugar
Rice Cakes
Scallions
Toasted Sesame Seeds

 

 

 

[ INSTRUCTIONS ]

  1. Add :
    2 Cups Vegetable Broth;
    to a skillet and bring to a boil.
  2. Once the broth is boiling, add :
    1/4 Cup Gochujang Paste;
    1/2 tbsp Korean Red Pepper Flakes;
    1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar;.
  3. Stir well and add in :
    10 Tubular Rice Cakes;
    and stir gently.
  4. Bring heat down to medium and add:
    2 Scallions, Cut into 2 Inch Long Pieces;
    on top.
  5. Gently simmer for 7 to 10 minutes or until the sauce is thick and shiny.
  6. Stir gently every few minutes.
  7. To serve, spoon into a bowl and sprinkle with :
    Scallions, to Taste;
    Toasted Sesame Seeds, to Tasste;.
  8. Enjoy!
