    1 1/2 Cups Quick Oats;
    1 1/2 Cups Old Fashioned Oats;
    3 Tablespoons Sugar;
    1/4 Cup Chopped Walnuts;
    1/2 Teaspoon Salt;
    1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon;
    in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. Then, mix in :
    2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted;
    1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup;
  3. In a separate bowl, combine
    1/4 Cup Water;
    1 Teaspoon Vanilla;
  4. Pour liquid into the oat mixture, mixing just enough to moisten evenly.
  5. Mix in :
    3/4 Cup Chopped Apple;
  6. Spread granola out evenly onto a cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 250 F or 120 C until dry, stirring every 20 minutes to about 70 minutes total cooking time.
  8. Remove from oven and allow granola to cool.
  9. Store in airtight container in a cool place.

[ NOTE ]

To get a few more clusters ( oats clumped together ), consider mixing 2 Tablespoons of All-Purpose Flour in with the dry ingredients.

The granola will crisp as it cools after cooking. If it's not crisp enough after it's cooled, it's okay to put it back in the oven for a longer time at 250 F or 120 C just as long as you don't let it brown too much.
