Dark Chocolate Chai

Dark Chocolate Chai

[ INGREDIENTS ]

Cardamom Seeds
Peppercorns
Cinnamon Sticks
Fresh Ginger
Water
Black Tea
Unsweetened Almond Milk
Dark Chocolate
Maple Syrup

 

 

 

[ INSTRUCTIONS ]

  1. In a small pot, add :
    6 Cardamom Seeds;
    2 Peppercorns;
    2 Cinnamon Sticks;
    1" Piece of Fresh Ginger, Sliced;
    2 Cups Water;.
  2. Bring to a boil, and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat, and add :
    2 Black Tea Bags;.
  4. Allow to steep for 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the tea bags, and turn the flame back on to low.
  6. Add :
    2 Cups Unsweetened Almond Milk;
    1 Ounce Dark Chocolate, Small Square;.
  7. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until all chocolate is melted.
  8. Add :
    Maple Syrup, to Taste;
    and strain into 2 mugs.

 

 

 

[ NOTE ]

If you want a really strong chai flavor, let the spices soak in the water overnight after boiling, and proceed with the rest of the steps the next day!
